Benefits of the Golden visa program
The UAE Golden visa is valid for ten years and provides many benefits listed below to the immigrants:
- An entry visa with multiple-entry to apply for residence issuance
- Renewable visa valid for 5 or 10 years
- Can stay outside UAE for more than six months while the residence visa is valid
- Can sponsor family members with no age limits
- Family members can stay in the country till the end of the permit if the primary applicant dies

For skilled professionals
Eligibility criteria are listed below:
- Have an employment in the UAE
- Having a role available in the MOHRE’s occupational classification scheme which includes:
| Classification | Job role |
| Level 1 Classification | Managers & Business Executives |
| Level 2 Classification | Professionals in the fields of Sciences, Engineering, Health, Education, Business and Management, Information Technology, Law, Sociology, and Culture |
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Monthly salary should be AED 30,000
- Have a practicing license if applicants are Physicians, Teachers, Pharmacists, etc.
For scientists and researchers
Eligibility criteria for researchers and scientists are as follows:
- Have a PhD degree in:
- Engineering
- Technology
- Life sciences
- Natural sciences
- A PhD from one of the top 500 universities or
- A Master’s degree from one of the top 250 universities or
- A PhD in a specialized field from one of the top 100 universities
- A Field Weighted Citation Index (FWCI) grade of 1.0
- An H-index grade of 10 or higher
For other professionals
A recommendation letter obtained from the Ministry of Culture & Youth or a competent local authority will be required for the following:
- Senior Scholars and Clerics
- For Elite Specialists in Industry and 4th Industrial Revolution
- Elite Specialists in Health Fields
- Elite Specialists in Education
A valid license is also required for specialists in education
