Prince Edward Island in Canada conducted its latest draw on 20th February. The latest draw issued 153 invitations to candidates under the Express Entry, Business Impact and Labour Impact categories.
143 invitations were issued under the Express Entry and Labour Impact streams. Candidates invited in the latest draw are now eligible to apply for a provincial nomination to Prince Edward Island.
Prince Edward Island PNP’s Express Entry Stream is linked to the Federal Express Entry Program. To be considered for an invitation, interested candidates must first lodge an EOI with Prince Edward Island PNP. All eligible EOIs are scored as per the Prince Edward Island points grid. Highest-scoring candidates are then invited in monthly draws conducted by the province.
The Labour Impact Category is for candidates who already have a job offer from Prince Edward Island. Such candidates need to be sponsored by their employer to be eligible for a provincial nomination.
The Labour Impact Category is divided into three categories:
- Critical Worker
- Skilled Worker
- International Graduate
You must submit an EOI to PEI PNP to be considered for an invitation through the Labour Impact Category.
10 invitations went to the Business Impact: Work Permit Stream in the latest draw. The minimum cut-off score in this category was 122 points.
Foreign entrepreneurs who are interested in setting up and running a business in Prince Edward Island can apply under this stream.
