Regular draws continue to be held under Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program [PNP]. Despite COVID-19 special measures being in place, it is business as usual in Canadian immigration.
Even with the developing situation globally, provincial nomination continues to be the route for Canada PR in 2020.
Significant announcements are expected from the Government of Canada this month.

HIGHLIGHTS
- British Columbia announces the extension of the BC PNP Tech Pilot till June 2021.
- Ontario invites 2,842 immigration candidates so far in 2020 through the Human Capitals Priorities Stream. While another 549 invited through the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream, 190 have been invited by the OINP from the Skilled Trades Stream so far this year.
- Manitoba holds EOI Draw #91 on June 4, 2020. The first MPNP EOI draw was held on May 20, 2015.
