A separate fee is to be paid at the time of submitting an application for Canadian permanent residence to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC].

As per the BC PNP, the increase in fee is for allowing the BC PNP to continue efficiently serving applicants, providing them assistance till they receive their Canada PR.

The increased fee, according to the BC PNP, will also allow continued program improvements, expanding outreach to applicants, enhancing program integrity, and improving program efficiency.

British Columbia’s PNP offers a dedicated pathway for foreign entrepreneurs and international workers to apply for Canadian permanent residence for themselves and their dependents.

The BC PNP has undergone substantial growth across the previous decade. In 2009, British Columbia had an annual allocation of 3,000 provincial nominations. In 2019, the annual allocation had more than doubled to 6,750.
